Choosing a control panel and its licence

A control panel can simplify website, database or mail administration, but it also introduces software compatibility, resource and licensing requirements. Panel installation should be coordinated with your server configuration and the applications already running on it.

What to include in your request

  • Name the panel and edition, number of accounts or websites, and whether mail and DNS will be hosted on the server.
  • Provide the operating system version and details of any existing web, mail or database installation.
  • Ask whether a clean operating-system image is required. Installing over an existing stack can conflict with applications and configuration.
  • Confirm licence ownership, renewal charges, management coverage, backup arrangements and a migration window if data already exists.

We will confirm compatibility and the proposed work before installation. Do not run an installer from an unverified mirror or assume a commercial licence is included in the server price. For an existing panel, include its version and the specific problem you need resolved.
